Motivation

Humans are fascinating - how they behave, feel, interact, learn, or think. For over a decade, I've approached that fascination from different angles: psychology, human-centered design, and neuroscience.

My work is driven by two things at once: a deep care for people's well-being and a thorough curiosity as a researcher. It always begins with understanding people - psychologically, behaviourally - and in my case that goes one layer deeper, into neuroscience: how the brain really processes information, the ground truth behind thoughts and feelings.

Understanding, though, is only the starting point. What matters is applying the science: turning basic research into results that make a real difference, which is what drew me to human-centered design and human factors. My PhD extends that same drive: how can we move brain-computer interfaces (BCIs) out of the lab and into everyday life. A crucial part of that is making our research genuinely more user-oriented.
